Terms and Conditions for Students
Upon booking as a pupil, all pupils will be provided with an appointment card upon which booked lessons shall be registered and all lessons are subject to the following conditions.

All leaners must be at minimum aged 17 or 16 if disabled.

Must have a valid UK provisional / full driving licence.

Must provide on or before first lesson proof that you have a valid licence, your entitlements and any endorsement. If you fail to provide the information, the lesson may be cancelled, and the full fee of the lesson may be charged.

JD Driving School retains the right to cancel any enrolment and, in this event, repayment will be made of monies paid in advance so long as the terms and conditions have been complied with.

Cancelation and Refunds

Minimum of 48hrs Cancellation Notice is required otherwise there is a full charge for the lesson. The notice does not include Sunday and Bank Holidays.

Any request for a refund of any payment made in advance must be done within 3 months of the payment or from the date of the last lesson.

The amount of refund of any lessons remaining from any introductory or block booking lessons will be refunded. The amount of refund will be calculated by the lessons taken charged at the normal full hourly rate and any monies left over with be refunded.

No claim can be considered by the JD Driving School without production of the official receipt.

Driving Test

JD Driving School reserves the right to withdraw the use of a tuition vehicle for an official driving test if, in the opinion of the instructor, a pupil has not reached the required standard.

Payment of Lessons

Block booking lessons should be paid 4 days in advance by Bank Transfer or in full at the beginning of the first lesson.

Pay as you go lessons can be paid directly on the lesson before the lesson starts. 

Introductory Offers / Block Booking Discounts

Introductory offers are only available to new customers with no driving experience.

Block booking are valid for all customers with driving experience. 

Limitation of Liability and Responsibility

Your instructor or JD Driving School is not liable to you for any loss or damages caused where and to the extent that:

There is no breach of a legal duty owed to you by your instructor or JD Driving School

Such loss or damage is not a reasonably foreseeable result of such a breach of legal duty

Any such loss or damage, or increase in loss or damage, results from any breach or omission by you

Any such loss or damage results from circumstances or matters outside of the reasonable control of your Instructor or JD Driving School.

Your Instructor or JD Driving School shall not, in any event, be liable for losses relating to any business interests you may have including, without limitation, lost profits, lost earning, loss of opportunity or business or business interruption.

It is the pupil’s responsibility to take reasonable care of any of their property and your Instructor or JD driving School will not be responsible for any loss, damage or theft of property.

These Terms and Conditions will not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer. 

Collection and Use of Data, Photo and Review

Any personal data that is provided by you will be held securely.

By giving us any of your personal data, you are allowing and giving consent to JD Driving School to use that data to contact you by telephone, text or email.

By providing any photographs, data and reviews - you give consent and understand that the photograph and reviews can be used by JD Driving School on a web-based platform - website, Facebook and yell.com and will be seen by the public.
